Meet
Robert Tolentino
An experienced instructor who helps people feel comfortable, make real progress, and actually enjoy learning to dance.
Whether you are brand new, returning after time away, or ready to grow into a stronger social or competitive dancer, Robert’s approach is built to make learning feel clear, encouraging, and rewarding.
Learning to dance should be just as fun as dancing itself
Many people come to dance lessons feeling nervous, awkward, or convinced they are not natural dancers. Robert’s teaching style is designed to remove that pressure and replace it with clarity, confidence, and steady progress.
His philosophy says it best:
“It’s not your responsibility to learn. It’s my responsibility to teach. And if it isn’t fun, it isn’t working.”
What sets Robert apart is not just that he knows how to dance. It is that he knows how to teach in a way that reaches different people. He adapts to each student’s learning style, keeps lessons productive without making them feel heavy, and helps students become better dancers without losing the fun that brought them in.
Decades of experience, tailored to the student in front of him.
Robert Tolentino began teaching ballroom dance in 1991 and has spent more than 30 years helping students grow in social, competitive, and performance dance. He is certified in Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels, has earned multiple regional titles in American Rhythm, and has been recognized as a 3-time Top
Teacher Award recipient and Top Manager Award winner.
But credentials only matter if they help the student. Robert uses that experience to meet people where they are and move them forward with confidence.
